Pics of rear sway bar needed

My 70 has a front sway bar which looks stock? However the rear doesn't have one? I'm trying to figure out where the mounting holes are if any, to see if it was removed for some reason. Were sway bars a factory option for a 1970T? Any pictures of the rear bar and mounting points would be helpful. I would like to install a new rear bar but not sure where to start? Thanks!

Most likely, your rear mounts cracked and -- if you don't see anything there now -- a previous owner cut the mounts off.

Wevo makes some awesome replacement mounts.

i hate to disagree with an icon, but...

my 72 T, for example, did not come with a rear swaybar. consequently, there were no rear mounts. if the wevo's price makes your heart skip a beat, the regular ones should do you for a while.

you will have to weld mounts onto the car, unless you want to use the weltmeister U-bolt setup.

If you do not have the factory mount, you can always go the "Weltmeister way" of the u-bolt over the torsion bar tube and the bar ends connected the the springplate eccentrics.

I did that in my '73 and it works just fine. Some details here: adjustable sway bars...1971 chassis

IF you bleieve that these cars should live forever, then you can amortize the cost of the Wevo over infinity...

Infinity (and beyond) is good only if you're around to enjoy it.

My '69 911T didn't have a front or rear sway bar when I got it. It had 5.5 x 15 wheels on 165-15 tires and handled like a sissy. It's a little better now.

Don't tell people that Sherwood! I might want to buy their car after they fix it up...
