Thanks again to Mobile Works East and Jimmy Deering !

Once again, another very happy customer with the Mobile Works team. I had used Tom from Mobile West before and was very satisfied. This latest time, I teamed up with fellow Pelican Doug Andrews to have our valves adjusted. Jimmy agreed and asked that we get both cars at one site. No problem, Doug lives a few blocks from me

All ready for surgery:

For this day, I had to work 1/2 day and Doug took the day off to drink, I mean supervise

Well, that afternoon I give Doug a call and ask how it went. He says, "Well, pretty good, but I have to show you something when you get over here"

Gulp. That didn't sound too good.

When I get to Doug's place, he hands me the large piece of this, saying that they found it on my car, but don't know where the little broken off piece is:

My mind races, thinking well, it's been that way then for a while, I must be OK right? Still can't help but feel a sinking feeling inside. Then Doug spills it. It was on HIS car, Jimmy noticed it right away and HAD A SPARE in his truck!!! Can you believe that???

Amazing guy, fantastic service, everyone in Cali should be thinking about Mobile Works. You just can't beat them! Not to mention you can save a bundle by doing all of the prep and clean up work. Shops still charge you $$$/hour to do those things......

Thanks again Jimmy

-Chris

Chris,
I'd be introducing Mr. Doug Andrews to the business end of a Louieville slugger for jacking me like that... On second thought, perhaps a cap full of 300 grit norbide lapping compound into his oil tank. That outta tighten him up a bit.

LOL Paul!

Yeah, Doug and I get our jabs in whenever we can. No worries, we have all winter on dirt bikes to take care of this

Actually, I would have done the same thing only drawn it out a little longer until I could see sweat beads forming on the forehead

Jimmy is indeed a great asset. I wish I had the cash to call him more often! Tom actually worked on my 914 in Campbell about 20 years ago. As a kid, I remember how cool and nice he was, even though I only had something like $60 to spend with him at the time.

They both get my recommendation.

Last time I talked with Tom, it was $50 for drive to your location, and $75 per hr.
Someone please chime in if I am off on the pricing.

I think, as they say, "it all depends".

exactly. The travel fee is dependant on where you live.

Labor is much cheaper than a shop, and like I said, you can save a lot of labor costs by doing all of the easy stuff.

Not to mention being able to ask questions

I would call either Jimmy or Tom and see what they can offer you.

EDIT: I see you are in AZ, I don't think they go that far, YET!
