window rattling

the passenger side window/glass rattles when the window is up, even worse when the top is down leaving the top of the window expossed. this rattle is very noticable and i can produce the noise myself by holding the top edge of the glass when the window is rolled up, and moving it back & forth, sounds like metal rattling, but i'm not sure and don't really want to remove the panel unless this symptom is something that will get worse, or damage the window itself. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Remove the panel. If the window is loose, it will eventually break when you close that door. (Don't ask how I know) It only take 10-15 minutes to remove the panel. Isn't the rattling more annyoing than the 30 minutes to fix?

i'm not sure what you mean sir. once i remove the panel, then what do i look for? thanks.

Whenever I drive and go over bumps on the road, my passenger side window rattles like crazy. I know it's gotta be loose. After I take off the panel, what do I do to secure the glass? My friend recommends taking it to a glass specialist, but I'm sure there must be something that I can do by myself to save me a few bucks. Thanks!

not sure exactly what would apply to your cars, but i am guessing that there would be two or three adjustment places for the window track. one should be at the very bottom of the door, another should be at the left corner of the door with you looking at it from inside the car...if passenger, opposite if driver's side,
and there might be one on the right side.

Hope this helps,
Paul
