First valve adjustment

I recently ordered tune-up parts and the valve gauge from our host to do a valve adjustment. Should I do this prior to winterizing the car, or in the early spring?

Thank you

Paul McCarthy

I donīt think it matters. However, if you do an oil change at the same time, its possibly better to do it before the long parking period. Fresh oil will be good for the internals during the winter. The actual valve adjustment timing is probably not relevant. Whenever the appropriate mileage occur - as of factory manuals 15k miles.

Others will correct me if I am wrong..

Everything 91189 said plus a very subjective answer....

won't it be more fun next Spring to just jump in and start driving your already tuned car than busting your knuckles first...
