Interior carpet replace turns into more

Got a good deal from Pelican on a full carpet set so I figured I’d give it a go since it couldn’t be that big a deal right? Well after removing starting I started to realize my interior was more than just worn carpet so I have decided just to replace everything and get rid of the tan and go to black. At first I was a little mad that things werent going my way but I'll just take my time and get a little intimate with my interior. It actally was kind of fun. Here is my progress after day one but I need to procure everything else first so it looks like I’m at a stopping point for now.

So if anyone has some really nice rear qtr panels, rear shelf, center console, door panels, seats in black let me know.

I’ll update when I’m complete.

hey Dave,

Nathan here. I have a old 911 that has been updayed to a 90 C2 car. It now has tan interior, although the door pockets and handles are black.
The true color scheme on a tan car is all tan except the door sil top and speaker grills. My handles and door pockets are good condition. You want to trade so we can both have correct color scheme. I would also love your seats. I missed the 8 way power set for 300. Oh well.
Thanks
Nathan

I am so like a chick on what color interior I want. I have reverted back to tan and bought some real nice front and rear seats and other goodies from Chuck. I guess at the end of the day I will have a new interior in the color that the car came in so that can be all bad.

Nathan - I’m good on my panels for now but will definitely be moving these seats out. I'll PM you.

Chuck - I'm waiting on you man where are they at? Just kidding!! yes the termites are bad here they sure ate up that floor board!

David - You may want to consider changing the color of some of those panels via paint if the price to replace is excessive, particularly the low wear ones? I just did an interior of a 914 and used vinyl paint along with paint prep and adhesion promoter and went from black to tan and it came out great. At this point time will tell how well it holds up, but things like the door panels cam out really good. If I could go from black to tan you should have no problem going from tan to black? Good luck ...

These were all black at one time!

Well my 2 day job that turned into 3 weeks has been completed. Well - not totally complete but back on the road. I replaced the entire Carpet, Front seats, wooden floor boards, recovered my steering wheel, added a voltmeter to cover the ugly 80's cell phone mount holes, replaced the rear defrost and 4 way flasher switch and new floor mats (still dont know if I like them) and alot of sweat in this florida heat!! Next is the door panels. Overall I'm pretty happy, My wifes only complaint - I drove out the old car smell and all it has now is leather smell!! Not much of a complaint if you ask me.

Special thanks to fellow Pelican Chuck Skieffner 'charleskieffner' for the beautiful seats and other goodies I needed.

super dave you have really pissed me off...........................i look at your beautiful interior................take a swig of beer...........and then look at my pitiful chocolate and peanut butter interior and want to PUKE!

waiting on ups for door panels. patrick moto says he has arm handles and pocket covers. i do need the cab lil 1/4 panels behind both seats on side. if i cant find hopefully can recover. console can be recovered.

all at great expense and time...........................................bac k to c-rations for another few more months!

next items completed aside from interior:

bra reworked to cover RUF FRONT END.

tonneau cover reworked to go over recaro head rests and around roll bar down tubes. thereby lending itself to extreme better ballistic coefficients and just my lil pea brained helmet sticking up. will cover entire interior except drivers side.

hollow adj sway bars

thats it until next pano or excellance mag comes in mail and see another gotta have wazoo gizmo.

monyana lic plate lites going out ups. pm me your address again

Thanks! I used the 3m spray adhesive on all of it - it worked pretty well. Not to say you cant have some 3m black super weatherstrip adhesive (or something) handy for the troublesome spots. I know that probaby not the best thing to use but the stuff works great.
