Production order and 'Secret' number
I showed the Early S board these pictures of a copy of the homologation production order form(right one) and the subsequent conversion order form for my '73 RS. I then took the right knee pad off to confirm the stamped chasis production number on the lower dash. The good news is that I didn't buy a reworked '71 T.
The documents are a little hard to read but if you have the book Carrera RS you can see pictures of actual prod. and conversion forms. Helps too if you know a little German.

Brian, can you post some pictures or update your profile? I'd love to see your car.

As you can see from the conversion form the car came without a radio and someone added (not very well I might add) a US version Frankfurt.
Here are a few shots of car taken when I picked it up. You will notice several off-season projects needed like removing the speakers in the doors, refinishing the Fuchs, adding the correct decals, and most importantly removing those awfull outside mirrors.
