Engine hood "bumpers"?

My car finally arrived today. As you can see in the below pic, the engine hatch is riding kinda low...doesn't line up with the fenders.

I lifted the hood, looked underneath and didn't see any rubber bumpers to hold it off the center rear panel.

a) Are there supposed to be bumpers?
b) Where do they mount?
c) Where do you get them?
d) Thanks in advance!

Is that an aftermarket lid? If so you might need to make up a solution if it's not there but shouldn't be too hard.

The bumpers are rubber cones that thread into the underbracing of the front and rear lids at each lower corner. They cost about $5 and are available at the dealer or Pelican.

For that bit of info, I wanna see more of this car! What's the story on the 934 style bolt on fenders? I want one.

Lid appears to be stock. There are holes where I would suspect bumpers would mount, but...I'm clueless. First Porsche, don't know all the "intimate details" yet.

I did a search in the parts catalog for "hood bumpers", but didn't see anything in the search results.

The car was assembled by the previous owner around '97/'98. The 993(?) fenders, tail and other parts came from "Better Bodies" in San Diego. I have receipts for everything...he spent $$$. Engine is mostly stock. Rebuilt trans about 4k ago. Now he's a new home-owner with a baby on the way. Oh, well...

Car could use paint/interior/detailing, but, for the price I paid, it's a good base to start with.

Thanks! $1.50/ea? Before I bought my car, everyone warned me that Porsche parts would be expensive...

Looks similar to the one "Wicked" motors offered on evil-bay a few weeks back. I sort of dig it.

That's all I've got right now. No use showing the engine pics...it's bone stock. Interior, too.

Project 1: Install motor that will make the car as fast as it looks...

I saw that one. Heck of a lot more skanool ($$$) than mine. Also, the ride-height was funky. Looked like a John Deere tractor.
