First engine drop help needed PLEASE

I've got the motor and tranny dropped following Wayne's book but I cannot seem to get the transmission seperated from the engine.

I've got it seperated about 3/4" but that's all she wrote.
It is a 3.2 with the G50.

Wayne's book doesn't say anything else about seperating the two.

HELP

Ya got to slide the t/o bearing shaft. Its on the passinger side

zbph10,

Check here for engine/tranny separation:

And don't despair about those broken studs - just think of this as an adventure where you get to learn about your engine, but you don't have to take it completely apart. Best of luck!

Got it, thanks for your help.

Buttjoint--- The shaft is on the driver side and was a pain to get out. Unless I missed it I did not see this explained anywhere in Wayne's book?

I made a puller out of allthread and a water fitting to screw into the shaft and happer it out.

We went ahead and changed our minds and pulled the engine and transmission together, much easier IMO

Here's a couple pictures of the kill

Now its time to get the pig cleaned up, head studs replaced, and everything detailed and/or painted.

Thanks for the help

Sorry Ithought it was the pass side, been a while since I did mine. Ya may want to support the halfshafts with some wire or something so your cv boots don.t get messed up. The bently manuel would help you when ya go to put it back together. cheers

I'll get them tied up tomorrow. Thanks again for the help.
