Hi folks-
I bought my '68 912 back in April and the PO had rebuilt the engine with a big-bore kit about 1000 miles ago (don't know if this makes a difference). I had put about 35 miles on her since the purchase (it's my weekend car) when a family emergency forced me to not use her for the last two months. I still start her up every two weeks to keep the battery fresh and I had just changed the oil and added Techron to a full tank of gas when the family emergency struck. My question: is there anything that I need to do before I start using her again? I know that there's a fine line between being careful and being paranoid, but I don't want to do anything wrong/stupid if I can avoid it. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Bobcat, I left my 912 alone for six months before. I treated the gas before I left and changed the oil when I got back. After that, I fired her up and went for a drive, no problem.
I don't see any issues with two months. Best of luck.

I just suggest on thing on any old car that has set......Step on the brake pedal before you start it to make sure a small leak didn't let your fluid seep out.....
