Porsche Crest Show me your 3.0 airbox cover conversions/modifications!

I'm interested in seeing what everyone does to the standard airbox cover on the 3.0 engine. I think opening it up a bit might be in order!

I would like to see what others have done as well... I't amazing how much air is being sucked into the 'horn' of the airbox when she's running...

Do a search here, fellas. This topic has been covered plenty.

With that said, I run with no airbox at all. I have a K+N filter and crossed the rubber straps to hold it on. No HP gain but gives a throaty growl at full throttle. I carry my airbox in the trunk in case I get caught in a downpour. Light rain shouldn't cause a problem, though.

A few years ago one of the board members named Targa Dude (real name Jorge) built a replica of the RUF Yellowbird cover. If you do a search I'm sure you will find pics.
