bilstein hd front sport rear

I know this subject must have been covered, but I can not find it. My '87 has what looks like original boge shocks. MY intention is street/track/autox. The t-bars are stock and so are the sways. So does the hd/sport combo make sense and how much difference does it make.

I'd PM Carrera3.5L if I were you. His car is sweet and is set up that way.

I am running my car like that, it's fine as is sport/sport or hd/hd, there's not a huge difference between them.

I forgot to add that I run 22 mm and 28 mm torsion bars front and rear and have Bilstein Sports on all four corners. My car corners pretty flat but actually rides better than the stock torsion bars with worn out Boges did.

I don't know what it's worth but check out the elephant racing website where you can select parts for your street or track setup. It gives a basic idea what size suspension parts go with what setup. I think they call the dampers to be custom valved in either case though.

My 83SC has 22/30 torsion bars with Bilstein HD in front and sport in the rear with Elephant bushings and rides and handles great.

My '83 SC Cab has 21F and 28R T-bars and HD's in the front and Sport's in the rear and it handles great. Done both Auto-X and DE's have enjoyed both. Keep in mind it is a Cab. It may be a little tight for my wife on the street, but it is perfect for me. You won't regret it!
