The same?
Is kelly green and Viper green the same color? I can't seem to find a color code for Viper Green but Kelly green looks the same to me. I know Porsche is notorius for calling the same color by two different names.

I can't find a paint code for Viper Green anywhere. the L225 sounds familiar...Paint Scratch doesn't list Viper Green at all.

A half pint of paint is like $10. So I guess I will spend some dough and find out once and for all.

Like I said, I can't guarantee it, but there are other sources that list the code for Viper Green as L225. It also may have been called Emerald green in some markets. I have also seen Emerald green used on other cars and it's a different shade.
If you're doing a touch-up job on an existing car, you might want to get it matched, instead of ordering the paint by the code. Colors will fade/change over time and if the car has been re-painted at some point, the color used may have been off a little bit anyway. JR |

It looks pretty good. I just painted the car last year and it has set in the garage ever since. I had a couple little knicks from reassembly and i have since misplaced the paint I used on the car. Should have it ready to go for the big GruppeB carshow next weekend. Thanks for the help.

Shawn,
Paint code 225 is Emerald green, which first appeared in '72. The name was changed in '73 to Viper Green but the code is still 225. I believe the name was changed because the introduction of the Carrera RS. The formula is available on Glasurit.com
