Thumbs up Cost to re-valve dampers

Hi and thanks in advance,

Can anyone weight in on the who's & how much's to re-valve a set of boge's for my 1976 Carrera 3.0. I want to set-up the car for track & street with 22 front & 28 rear torsion bars.
I don't mind firm and currently run 21/27's with bilstein sports on my 83SC targa, and I love the feel of that set-up for street only, some auto-x.

Thanks again,
Phil

Hi Hank,

I don't really know whether Boge's can be revalved or not; at least I don't recall anybody mentioning this in the past. If it's possible, I suppose someone here may chime in, but if not, you might want to try contacting Boge directly, or think about converting to Bilsteins. Free bump too.

Assuming thay're bilsteins...

You can send them to Bilstein directly and they'll revalve them for about $65 each. Not sure how they get the valve settings, but I think they calc them from your specs.

You can also send them to Steve Weiner or Smart Racing, who'll have them revalved for about $120 each. The extra $55 is for their knowledge in setting up Porsches for the track.
