Question Portland, OR mechanic needed

Does anyone know of a good 911 mechanic in Portland? I just moved here from Seattle and the phone book and Google searches aren't helping.

Thanks!

I send all PPI's and routine stuff to Stuttgart Autotech in Lake Oswego,.........about 6 miles south of Portland and 4 miles Easy from our shop. Call Jess or Mike at (503) 635-3098 and tell him that I referred you.

Welcome to Portland. The Oregon PCA web site (www.oregonpca.org) lists several shops. You do belong to PCA? The chapter here has 600+ members and has lots of activities. Consider coming out for a few.

I use Mike at Stuttgart for the work I chose not to do myself and have been very pleased.

Depending on where you live and your personality, you may find Kurt at Marque Motors, Wayne at Autosports or the folks at Heckmann Thieman more to your liking.

If you are looking for support of your track car, Rothsport Road and Race is a great shop.

Hopefully I'll see you around.

It just won't start and there is gas coming from the manifold. It's a 2.7 with CIS that sat for years. It ran a month ago but I can't get it started now. Could be a clogged fuel injector or the cold start valve... I don't know. There was also smoke slowly leaking out of the exhaust pipe a minute after I tried to start it. Excess fuel burning off?

There could be a big red sticker that says "replace me" and I'd still want pro help. I put the car together from the ground up but the engine was complete. I don't mess with internal parts, I once burnt a 1979 Kawasaki KZ 750 to the ground trying to start it with go - go juice. Luckily the fire department was only a block away so they got it put out before the tank exploded.

I have used Stuttgart for routine stuff and Rennsport Systems/Rothsport for performance stuff, suspension setup. Both shops have great people.

I have good news and bad news, I changed the spark plugs and the car fired right up and ran great! The bad news is that the old plus were completly black after only 200 and then sitting for a month... What is that?
