WUR adjust procedure?
Is there a procedure to adust the WUR?
I have heard that the bottom screw adjust the cold setting and the top the hot setting, or is it the other way around? (I have done the top adjust mod). Everytime I attempt to adust the "hot" setting, the cold setting is affected and I have to start over... Last edited by audiofilius; 09-06-2006 at 08:47 AM.. |

You need to tap it back down if you crank it up too high.

If you have an adjustable one by some chance, the setting is made by fiddling with both of them to set the cold pressure by the chart in the Technical specifications booket pretaining to the WUR number on your WUR.
Unplug the Wur. Get the fuel pump running while the engine is off. Loosen the bottom nut so it is free from the body and tap down the center allthread lightly while you have a pressure meter on the WUR to Fuel distributor fuel circuit. Watch the meter as you tap down and stop when it reaches the pressure range dictated by the chart's ambient temperature when cold. If you go too far, you tighten down the bottom nut against the WUR body to bring the pressure back in the range. Cold pressure is the base for the rest of the range for CIS performance. Once set correctly, you adjust mixture at the Fuel Dist. and intake butterfly. There's a ton of lore written about the WUR in the archives and a few books too. I feel for you brother.
