I Finished Last
Entered Concours Street. They couldn't take enough points off. Some lines on the inspection report were only worth 8 points and they gave me a -9. Recurring theme was dirt. Guy that inspected my engine actually stopped writing the (") marks on the line below the comments "dirt and grease".

At least you gave it a go and you did win yesterday's event. You have a year to clean things up, if you decide to enter again next year. Your car looks very clean to me.

Translation
Concours is french for "Douche".
Taking off points for grease in the engine compartment is like saying a Jackson Pollock painting is garbage because the paint is messy. ![]() |

I used to be a concours nut in the early-mid '70's, but as I got older I realized that laying on my back cleaning suspension parts with a toothbrush and mineral spirits was way less fun than driving the damn thing. I don't need a judge to tell me how nice (or not) my car is....I already know!

I actually drive mine everyday. I respect the people that do this. It takes alot of work. I have to be at the golf course every day for at least 6hrs sometimes much more. When do I have time to clean my engine?

Does your car run well and is fun to drive? If so, you're a "winner" in my book! Enjoy your car!!

I agree, a good practice 18 each day is more worth your time each day.
