I give up, what is it???

Any idea of what this item is? Adjacent to the spare, with electrical connections and a clear plastic line that runs up to the smugglers box and down below. Looks like it may be some type of booster pump, maybe for fuel, but only see one line running out of it.

Thanks, and sorry for the newbie question, but couldn't find any reference in Bentley or 101 Projects manuals. (maybe aftermarket)

It could be the compressor for a set of aftermarket air horns.

My circa 1984 Clifford alarm has one like that. It powers two very loud air horns.

Thanks, guys, that makes sense. There are a couple of air horns in the front right fender well. Too late in the day to get on my back, after two long nights pulling a shoddy alarm system off the newly acquired project.

Thanks again.

Mike

The two horns in the right front wheel well are for the horn on the steering wheel.

Follow that hose and see what it leads to. It looks like it may lead to something that is between the passenger side fender wall and the smugglers box. If its for an aftermarket alarm system, it would be better to remove the entire thing instead of just most of it. After you remove that hose, plug the hole properly.

The yellow cap on top of the compressor is for oiling, put a couple of drops now and then into the compressor.
