How hard is it to put a 3.3Turbo engine in an SC body?

Anyone know what modifications are required to pull this off?

Lee - I'm preparing for just that conversion right now. You need a turbo oil tank, twin fuel pumps, and a heavy duty clutch (if you use the 915 box). If you leave the motor stock you will also need the 930 torsion bars due to the wieght. If you strip the motor and put on an aftermarket exhaust the wieght is similar to a 3.0L with air. Of course you'll have to do a little wiring and some ancillary stuff. I've been talking with a couple of fellas that run a 930 hop-up shop. They have done several of these conversions. Give them a look at www.imagineauto.com - really nice guys. You haven't bought a car yet though, right? You may be better off to purchase a 930. Right now the early turbos go for $30K for a good one. You may have that much in a converted SC when all is said and done. Spend it all now or a little at a time. I can't say about resale value, it all depends on the quality of the job. If you haven't already done so drive a 930. Turbo lag may not be for you.
