Anyone have blue seats with black carpet?

Thinking about taking on an interior restoration project of a 911 with a blue interior with faded blue carpet. Was wondering how black carpet with blue seats and dash and steering wheel would look? I like the black and blue look since it's a blue targa with a black targa bar with black wheels. Anyone seen this combo? (mid-80's vintage)

Will work well....

My metallic silver 85 Carrera has a Navy Blue interior. The way Porsche does this, however, is with plenty of black pieces..the central dash "pad" area, the instrument gauge surface, center heater console....etc... are all black.

Picking up on this theme...I installed used ( but nearly new) black floormats...and the overall effect works well and "As intended"....

You could dye the carpet back to Blue it they're in good shape and not worn out. That is if they're nylon, which most if not all are.

you can also get a blue carpet set in either plush or RS from appbiz...that is what I will be replacing my blue carpet with.

Here are some pixs of my blue interior coupe. I didn't change the blue door tops, dash or headliner. Seats are black covers over blue shells. In the pixs, the blue looks a lot brighter than it looks in real life.

Ever since I saw KCs targa and drove a friends targa I've been looking around. My son and I may take a look at one this weekend. I sold my spyder earlier this summer and since then been wanting that open sky feeling again. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the input everyone. I like doing interior restorations. I've done a bunch of Corvette interiors but never a 911. Just gathering some ideas for now.

Cool. KC's targa is nice, isn't it? I never thought I'd like a red car until I saw a Guards Red 911! Both of your cars are simply beautiful.

BTW, to answer your question - I think black carpet with blue interior would look great. In my car, I have the burgundy half leather, and the PO put in black mats. It ties in 'all of the other black pieces in the interior. I like 'em.

My '76 C3 came w/ dark blue sliver knit carpet, everything else was black.

It's filthy here, but otherwise loks good
