I finally got the balls to cut the targa bar today. Dam Im exited now, its gonna be as cool as I thought it was. Now I just need to get my move over with and get my cash flow back in order, then get a top. I know there are some people thinking, oh my god he cut the top off, well, get a life its only a car. Its my 4th 911, easy come easy go...

you do got balls...
I hope you can post pictures of the process. I definately don't have the money right now (engine more impotan't)but the idea has always been in my mind. Maybe in a couple of years...a cab. has one less seal to leak! Quick question... How are you gonna do it? I guess you remove the glass, bar cover, and then what? You "Cut" the underlying bar off flush??? I heard you have to weld in some brackets for the top frame. Did you buy (or are you gonna buy) a complete kit i.e. frame, brackets, rear deck, and quarter panels? How are you going to line up the brackets for welding to get everything fitted correctly? Good luck and keep us wanna be Cab. owners posted! ------------------ Leland Pate ___79 SC Targa |
