Ever wonder what 19" rims look like on a 911?

Well I was just browsing Ebay, when I came across this ad. Now, to me they look very gaudy and a bit overdone.

Is it me or is that car WAY high? It looks like a truck.

I wonder if there was an increase in tire height with the wheel swap.....along with the suspension that needs adjustment....

Bigger is not always better. They make the car look short and yes it has been raised up quite a bit to manage that nonsense in the fenderwells, handling has probably been shot with the center of gravity raised up a good inch or so. These big wheels with no sidewall make ride quality so poor aside from the look, on this car its horrible I dont know why people do this stuff.

That ride height is the side-effect of running all that bling, you gotta bump up the tire diameter and you can't lower it. With 17s or 18s and a few inches off the ride height, it would be perfect.

Put some decent wheels on the car and lower the ride height and the car will be great! Looks pretty clean...

Beautiful car--wheels are just silly on it. Drop them to 17 inch and set proper ride height and thats all it needs.

I think many cars look goofy with today's style of the BIG wheels.

It must be a "fine" place that sells Porsches. As their ad says, it comes with a " 4 speed trans". And god, it looks like a truck, so high.

I agree with the others who say that car isn't bad, it's the wheels that make it look lame. Throw some 16-inch Fuchs back on it and it will be a sweet ride.

It's an '87 930 so it had better have a 4 speed.

Yes they look good on that car, they're actually in proportion with the rest of the car.

edit: referring to the big ass 997...

It needs lowered before you can give it a proper critique.
I've seen plenty of 18s on 930s. They look fine. Maybe that is the limit. As for 17s, the most popular big tire for the widebody is the 315/35-17. That particular tire is TALLER than the also popular 315/30-18. On the other end of the spectrum are the 4.5" sidewall 15s. They look like truck tires by todays standards.
Tires have as much to do with visual impact as wheels.

Nice 930. Terrible Ride Height. Needs to go to the shop for PPI. Can lose the wheels then too.

Sweet 996. Nice Wheel/Tire Package. Too bad its not the car FS.

Counting down to Road America.
