Just surface rust with a few holes
Looks like a fun project and thank you for saving another Porsche from returning to the elements.

I think anything is possible as long as you can weld and have plenty of sheet metal and have the time.

After seeing a ton of projects on old VW bugs & buses with far more rot it doesn't seem like a bad job.

Are you doing the work or having someone do it for you? Either way someone has to be an artist!!! Keep us posted.

Pizzy,
This guy will have to be better than Michaelangelo !!
This car needs all the help it can get.
A project like this will certainly keep you out of the pub and off the street for quite a while yet !!

Good luck !

Cheers,
Dennis.

Yikes! You're gonna have a small fortune tied up in that bodywork by the time it's done. Hope the mechanicals are a little better off...

You know I am going to point out the obvious here, but unless that is a real S with a matching number motor, the money sunk into that thing is forever lost........although that can be said of most restoration projects.

i must have determination... i actually drove that thing 30 miles instead of using a flatbead. it was a sweet ride with that 911 trans and the wind blowing in my hair. my hands were alittle sweaty from hanging on for dear life...

You just need to know how to "handle" him. Took me years!

That and let him call you "Horney Shwauny." When he gives you a nickname, you're in.
