Question Motor mount differences

What are the differences between these engines mounts on Weltmeister?

Engine/Transmission Mount (Sport)
Part Number: 901903 * Our Price: $62.95

Engine/Transmission Mount (Aftermarket) No Cabriolet
Part Number: 915469 Our Price: $24.95

I'm going to replace my motor mounts later this fall when I buy their 911 Tow Hook and Jack Pad Combination that mounts to the rear motor mounts.

How do they compare to the ones offered by our host and Rennline. I'm just trying to get some background. I'm going to stay away from the solid variets due to their price.

Thanks,
Matt

You can order any part you see in the Weltmeister/PP/Automotion catalogue from Pelican. Pelican has an agreement with them whereas Pelican is a dealer of the proprietary parts. Many of the rest of them come from the same place. Most of the time you can get a better price from Pelican.

To answer your question to the best of my ability is that the Cab mounts are "sport" mounts. Can't say about Rennline.

Thanks Milt.

So I'm forced to buy the sport mounts since I have a Cab.

That seems a bit strange to me. I read what Weltmeister said in their description. From my understanding Porsche placed the same type of "extra" structural supports in both Targas and Cabs. So I'm not sure why the Cab must have the sport motor mounts.

I'll purchase the sport mounts when it comes time.

Are the sports mounts significantly stiffer or something along that line? I'm just kind of baffled at the price difference between the normal and sport types (I've seen solid mounts for much more ~$215 a mount).
