Carrera Guys: Good 12v source in engine bay?

Anyone know of a good stable 12v source (in engine bay) when the engine is cranking / running only?

Looking for a feasible point to power an electric oil scavenge pump, if I decide to go down that route.

I don't want the pump running whenever the ignition is turned to Accessories.

If I remember correctly, on the drivers side, behind the back plastic cover with the single wing nut, you can tap into one of the fuses there. I believe there is 3 of them. One is for the aux heater fan in eng compartment, the other is for the rear defroster, and I think the last one is for a Sportomatic... Just use a voltmeter to check for voltage. Lou
