Rear T-Bar Length?

Trying to determine if some bars will fit. What are the lengths of the bars for 915's and g-50s? If they are the same then what's the difference between the two/ how can I tell?

best regards,

Michael

Fronts are 611 mm long ( ~ 24") with a 1" spline length at each end.

Rears are 626 mm long ( ~24.6") with a 1" spline length at one end and 0.75" spline length at the other end.

I *believe* the splines are 40 / 44 count on each end for rear 915 bars.....G50's are different.

See here, too--> http://tech.rennlist.com/911/pdf/torsionbars.PDF

The 18.5" dimension is...I believe..the lever-arm length between the centerline of the rear axle and the pivoting centerline of the torsion bar. It's the "lever" length that acts on the torsion bar.

I believe length is the same between the G50 torsion bars and the 915's. It's the size of the splines that are different. I know because I just went through this. The OD of the splines for the G-50 are larger than the 915 bars. At least the outer splines are larger. I never stuck the 915 bars into the car to see if the inner splines engaged.

The 915 and G50 torsion bars are about the same length.

Early ( 915) rear T-bars have 44 teeth on one end and 40 on the other. Later (G50) bars from '87-89 have 47/46 teeth.
