Removing heater control panal from Dash

Frankly it is a nightmare, IMO. There is a single bolt in the back of the control assemble that goes into a rubber vibration grommet and nut. I found it best to remove the seats in order to contort the body under the dash.
If you are replacing or reconnecting cables it gets worse. There are 4 lights that plug in to back of the faceplate. Draw a map of the other wiring that is in the way and disconnect as needed to make room. If you are replacing cables attempt to R&R the inner actuator wires only while leaving the flexible spring like sheath in place. It can be some what easer than fishing the entire cables under and through the dash. If the actuator wire is broken at the dash levers, I have had moderate success re-bending the "L" ends without replacing the entire wire. Any kink in the wire or the sheath will effect the operation of the controls.
