someone please help me before I cut the tunnel outta my 73t

This is a plead to anyone who has replaced their e-brake cables!! How do you do it? Should I start by Attaching them to the handle then the hubs or vice versa? the springs in the 930 ebrake cables) will not allow me to expose the cable enough to attach it to the lever! I am about ready to cut the tunnel out in a last ditch effort. Waynes book only covers replacing pads and adjustmet i believe.

Please anyone! : (
Thanks

Hans would not approve of excising sheet metal to perform this procedure.

When I replaced the rear control arms, I installed the parking brake cables as well. Cables were installed in the brake; lever ends free. I don't remember it being that difficult. However, I did remove the parking brake mechanism to clean and relube it; maybe w/o the parking brake mechanism, that made fishing for the cables easier. There's a cable adjuster on the parking brake mechanism. Make sure it's long enough so there's slack in the cable. Is there a spring inside the tunnel (I don't remember). Perhaps fashion a hook to fish and hold while the cable ends are installed.

Hope this helps,
Sherwood
