Brake bleeder broken off....help!!
Well I really bunged up the brake job today on the new 72 911.
First time in 25 years Ive broken a bleeder valve trying to loosen it. But wait...I didnt stop there. Went to the hardware store and got the extractor. Broke that off too!! Now what....any advice??? Thanks Maze |

I'd simply replace the caliper. They just don't cost that much to agonize over. Or, you could send it out to some place like Goldline Brakes, but it will come back so pretty you will have to do the other three. Also, you could have a bolt extractor specialist take the EasyOut and the bleeder out. Maybe you have a friend who has a machine shop with some of the equipment. Again, I wouldn't pay the going rate for that service (good for something like an import aluminum cylider head), the caliper isn't worth it.
Unless you have a pristine S caliper, that is. ![]() |

Anyone tried this? Any chemists care to comment on this technique?
