Impulse Sensors 1988 Motronic
I’m installing new impulse sensors on the motor I’m building. According to Pelican and all the old posts I’ve read the two sensors are the same. The problem is, the hole on the bracket for the one that sits closest to the motor (see arrow on picture) is about 1.5mm larger in diameter then the other hole.
The sensors have an o-ring at the bottom of the plastic that fits snuggly in the smaller hole which leads me to believe something isn’t right, is there a sleeve or something that takes up the 1.5mm or does the one just fit loosely ?

I don't know what is wrong w/ your parts but you are correct in thinking that there are 2 sensors which are the same and one bracket which they both need to fit in.
All 3.2 from '84 -89 used 2x 911 606 215 01 sensors 1x 930 101 089 01 bracket

That bracket should have one steel sleeve. It looks like your bracket is missing it.

Probably easier to put a Want ad in the classifieds for the entire bracket. Also try Dart in Colorado. Tell them Souk at MotoMotions sent you.

Did you pull the old sensors? If so, go look at them to see if the sleeve is still on one of them. It looks like when the sensors were pulled, the sleeve got pulled also, and is probably on one of the old sensors.

Unfortunately the motor was from the East Coast and had a lot of corrosion and rust, the sensors and the sleeve(s) were destroyed removing them.
