Question few simple questions....

I'm needing to confirm which way the clip for the timing chain link is oreintated. I've been told closed end in the direction of travel and have known this to be true for all chains, motorcycles, etc....

I have re-installed this clip on the driver's side timing chain in this manner, but checked the passenger's side chain & found it to be installed with the open ends in the direction of travel. I'm just hoping for a few replies to re-confirm what I've been told already.

Second, what size socket (allen) is used for the head bolts on 76 2.7?

Thanks.

Chris

You are correct about the close-end pointing in the direction of travel.
Just be sure about the rotation/travel; both cams rotate ccw.
The 3.0 SC's have a 10mm Allen; could be the same for 2.7.
I got an extra long Allen key and cut the top off. Then I put the long Allen into a 10mm socket for torqueing.
