heat exchanger

hi.... guys i have a question i always wonder how does the heat exchangers supply heat to the interior of the car with out exhaust fumes getting inside the car thanks for the help.

Fumes from Heat Exchangers....

Sylvester,

You have oil in your heat exchanger/s. And when the temp. gets really high, it burns the oil inside or outside the HE. I doubt the fumes you were referring were coming from your headers. Unless you have a crack or hole in your headers (exhaust tubes). Just my two-cents.
