ER Oil Cooler install in a SC... problems
I bought the complete Oil Cooler Kit from ER and am having problems getting the assembled cooler,rock guard, and fan to fit in the fender well.
I spent most of the day trying to figure out how to install the cooler. I mounted the fan you included in the kit low on the oil cooler and it would not clear the bracket for the front valence. I was using the 8" fan I was sent with the kit. How have other people running a factory valenced SC fit the fan provided with the kit? I cut the ties and tried moving the fan higher on the cooler body test fitting it with duct tape holding the fan and it still would not clear the space below the headlight bucket and the top of the front valence bracket. What am I doing wrong? Photos of their ER oil cooler installation in a 911SC anyone? Not sure if it matters but my car is a 1978 RoW Coupe. THANKS! Andrew

I took the horseshoe bracket out on my SC, and ditched the horns for a small aftermarket unit. I suggest you call the ER technical staff, they are quite friendly and helpful. Got a picture of where you're at now with it? Pat

The lower bracket that seems to be causing the problem also holds up the front valence? I am running the factory front valence. Are you?

Hi Andrew,
Let me know how you work this out. I am about to start on the same project - I have the Elephant kit on order. I can see the bracket you are talking about but don't have anything to offer as I haven't taken anything apart yet. Good luck, Scott
