What is the best way to run fuel lines?

I have Weber 40mm IDA 3C carbs in my 1981 911SC. I am uncertain how the fuel lines in the engine compartment should be set up. I have up to now had the feed line split into 2 lines with one going to the return line and the other line split into two more lines each running to each of the carbs. Is this the right set up?

Don

try using the PMO regulator. It will by-pass unneeded fuel automatically. Mallory also makes this type of regulator. They are not the routine "dead head" regulators. They are designed to be used with a return line.

Don,

Try this link: “Weber circulating fuel system”

You should be able to make nice adaptors from the original high pressure fittings.

I’m not happy using a fuel pump capable of such high pressure as the SC CIS pump. If the regulator should ever have a problem then the carburetor needles & seats (N&S) couldn’t possibly hold the pressure. On the other hand you want a pump that has sufficient flow capacity to still return a lot of fuel to the tank even when the engine demand is maximum.

Ask the guys at PMO.

Best,
Grady

My lines disconnected in the tranny area. I took the lines leading to the engine comp to the hose shop that fitted the coupling to 6AN Aeroquip SS. Another pelicanhead posted that all shops may Not have the correct tools. Mine did.
