How long did it take for you MK to arrive??

I ordered an MK 2in 1 out and a pair of SSI's on september 28. Today is the 19th of october and the MK still isnt here. Ive called Pelican twice and they said the latest theyd ship it out was last friday and supposedly it takes 3 days to arrive... its been 6. I never like to complain like this, but the SSI's arrived 3 days after the order was processed but the exhaust still isnt here. I'm sure there's a reason for this, but what it all comes down to is that the exhaust is late approximately 20+ days and i still havent been notified of why it's late or when it's coming after Ive called Pelican twice.

please shed some light, I'm dying here waiting for this thing to come.

Hang in there Floyd. I'm sure once you install and fire up that all will be forgotten. I've got pretty much the same SSI + M&K setup coming my way as well.

Ben, sounds like he's tried to contact PP -- probably not obvious that he should think it'd be necessary to contact you guys directly.

Probably none of my business, but I hate these b*tch posts. no where in the original post does it say you contacted PP directly to find out the status.

I am sure there is a valid reason for the delay, no need to poison the bandwidth, with the complaint. May I add, the bandwith that our host so graciously is providing.

just my .02

I assume Ben doesn't stock pile these. Mine had to be built when I ordered it so some time. I think if you would have just contacted Ben or pelican directly, you would have received status 3 x 7 days ago.

Apparently, reading comprehension is no longer taught in the LA school districts...

He did say he's called Pelican twice ...and I wouldn't expect him to contact the mfgr. directly unless he ordered from the mfgr. directly.

He would simply like a status and I don't blame him.

thanks, I'm not mad at all and I dont blame anyone, I did contact them twice. What i wanted from this thread is just to see how long you guys waited for your muffler so I can see when to expect mine in the mail.

Thats all

thanks

I think maybe to clear things up. We try to stock all models but this becomes dificult because we do allot of custom setups so our time gets sucked up there. We also deal in a very scarse stainless alloy and at times can wait a bit for a mill run to come in. That said we have been running 1 to 1.5 weeks behind (because of volume of orders)for the past 6 months. This is good and bad at the same time. Good that there is work bad if someone wants something right now.

I guess what kind of got me involved is more of the p-car parts buyer in me. If I order something and know the manufacturer is very public(on this forum) I would just contact them. People that order from any and all of our distributors do it ALL the time right after they order(like the minute After) not to say much except they just want an ETA as they just ordered this from XYZ and would like to schedule things. I would just like to reasure you that this is not pelicans fault nor waynes or any of those guys. I will work with them to ensure they mark there catalog to reflect the 1 week approx delay on all drop ship items. Does that seem like a good solutions,

Thank you and I promise it will be worth the wait. also make sure you support your muffler properly as I see you did not get the install kit. The stock straps are to big so they will need to be modified

Have agreat day and PS I did email wayne this link so all the bases are covered

I'm glad I saw this posting because I ordered an M&K muffler for my '87 a couple of weeks ago and though in no hurry its always helpful to hear the other side of the story from the guys who build them. And yes I'm sure its worth waiting for...I can hear the sound now...burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

OK, can we go ahead with our regular scheduled program now? Both sides of the issue have been duely stated.

BTW, the point made about the mounting kit is a good one. I had an early model of the M&K muffler before there was such an item. Nothing on the car presently will aid in the monuting of the new muffler. Even the factory muffler bracket at the back of the case is totally mishapen for the task.

BTW, if I install one of these gizmos, can I use the mounting kit?
