How to roll power windows up with the engine out

Did something stupid when I pulled my engine for rebuild and left the power windows down. It's going to be quite some time before the engine is back in. Is there anyway I can get power to the window motors to get the windows up? It's in my garage but still not entirely secure from the elements.

Make sure the starter cable isn't touching anything and hook up the battery?

I tried that in fact, seems like the fuse bank is not getting power, maybe I need another ground.

Just run a jumper wire between the positive battery terminal and the fuse for the window relay.

On the carrera you can remove the smaller door speaker and crank up by hand (with socket)... dunno about the SC if you dont have the small upper speaker.

pull the switches in the driver door and use a 12v cordeless drill battery to power up the motor if all else fails.

Yes, do it from the switches. You can hotwire straight to a battery if you have a wiring diagram

I'd start to worry about that.
