cab problem?
I was putting the top up in my driveway and it stopped just about the time it reached the windshield frame(when it starts to lock) and the thing stopped. I found the relay under the passenger floorboard and it's clicking like crazy when I operate the switch. Where do I check next? or are there more switches that can be reset or bypassed to get the thing into a start or finish position.
BTW thanks to all the regulars on this board for all the good info I have picked up reading everybodys posts. hope you can help me out David 89 turbo cab with stuck top |

David, I don't have a cab and I'm not familiar with their operation but instinct tells me to absolutly make sure there isn't something blocking or jamming the top mechanism. If the relay is clicking and you are getting power to the motor itself I would think there is something phisically blocking it from moving...but, of course, I wasn't there...I'd kinda think you'd be able to tell by the sound it made if there was anything in the way. Will it go back down? Does it make any attempt to move at all?
Good luck, ------------------ Leland Pate ___79 SC Targa |

Those relays can go bad. You might pick one up and try it.
