2) 315/35/17's & 2)245/40/17's for under $800???

I need new tires on my 83 turbo. I don't want to break the bank but want a decent set of sticky tires that handle relatively well. Can I get these for under $800. I

I think it can be done.

Tirerack has the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD for $900.

I recently went to 275/255 from 315/275 in order to be able to run Toyo RA1's. if you've got 11-inch or narrower wheels in back, you could do the same and suddenly have loads of affordable tire options.

Anyone tried Sumitomo HTR Z's? I could get a set of those for around $400.

Are you looking for $800 tires or $400 tires? Try searching on the Sumitomo's and see what you find. Also try a google search and see if any comments have been posted on the tires you are considering.
