DE's, Tow Vehicles, and 911 Cabs (A Solution)

Going to the track is great fun, but I have to leave the 993 Cab at the house. So, there it sits, all alone, while all its friends, the 3.6 SC and the 914-6 3.2 go off to play with other Porsches. Though current rules do not allow it to play on the track since it does not have a roll bar, I thought the Cab would be happier hanging out with other P-Cars. There had to be a way to include the 993.

After eating way too many wings and drinking way too many beers at our favorite pub near CMP, fellow DE drivers and I came up with a solution that would help the lonely 993. It involved some steel, some welding, and bigger springs, but a solution was found as seen below:

Though there has been much debate on the 911 as a tow vehicle
as seen here (911 as a tow vehicle??) this should resolve most of the concerns.

This seems to definately put the argument to rest Jim, but don't forget to raise that front leveling jack before you take off.

i HIGHLY RECOMMEND AND ENDORSE THIS! please contact us if traveling thru az. we will be sure to document this outstanding enginneering MARVEL!

ASK ME ABOUT TOWING FOR FUN AND PROFIT!

just came back from the old pueblo(tucson) yesterday towing (2) car hauler trailers. 20ft long, one stacked on top of other for jim patrick. we bought one and he bought one. cant tell you HOW MUCH FUN THAT DRIVE WAS w/a 1/2 ton GMC K-1500. the moment i got home last night, we switched from 1/2 ton to 1-ton tow rig. towing w/a duallie(doolie) is the ONLY WAY TO FLY!

Perhaps dual wheels on the rear would be better...

too funny.............yes this will help immensely. i also feel that this would be a good rig for towing boats up wet algae slimmed boat ramps. this rig probably shouldnt be used on boats smaller than say 25ft. the gooseneck is properly centered on the vehicle for outstanding weight distribution across the entire vehicle!

this is the safest tow rig money can buy! can only imagine how fun this would be on a nice day!

I WAKE UP EVERY DAY WANTING TO TOW SOMETHING!

I'm going to CMP for the T1 event this Fri-Sat as well. Would love to see the tow-rig in action!

I think I am going to trade the '95 C2 for a C4S. Better traction and wider tires

a wing on this trailer would greatly enhance the aerodynamics and handling qualities on the high speed banked freeways of america.
