Turbo Years

I hear about 930s as well as 911 turbos for various years, including 84-89, but when I search the Kelly Bluebook website, it comes up empty. Anyone know what the years on the 930s were, and what years I can get a turbo?

911 Turbo and 930 are the same thing, 930 is the Porsche internal designation of the 911 Turbo.
Assuming you are interested in pre-90 cars, these Turbos were made from 1976 to 1989. But, in the US, they were not available for the 1980 through 1985 model years. You do see 80-85 Turbos in the US, but these are all grey market cars.
The earliest cars made do without an intercooler. The '89 is a cool year, it has all the goodies the Turbos accumulated over the years (increased displacement, intercooler, etc.) plus is the only one from 76-89 that came with a 5 speed, the others all came with 4 speeds.

Ugh. I feel like a dope for nothing knowing 930 = 911 turbo, but I definitely won't forget that.
