8 inch 951 fuchs on a 911?

Does anyone have experience putting 16 by 8 inch 951 wheels on the back of an SC? The offset for the 951 rims is 23 mm, the offset for the 911 8's is about 10 mm. I imagine a spacer would take care of the different offsets but I was just wondering if anyone has done this and has any advice? Thanks.

Yes you can but why? Unless you just happen to have a set and don't wanna pay the $$ for the Carrera/Turbo 8.

The 951 8s fit on the front and you can use a standard 8 or 9 for the rear....

^^^ agreed, put them on the front and put 9s on the rear or hold out for some 911 8s for the rear. I'm sure there are racers out there that would love to have those 951 fuchs for the front.

They'll fit on the back but they won't give that great deep dish look the 8's or 9's will.

They can be put on the front with some work to fender lips and max negative camber.

I disagree. I had 951 7s and 8s on my carrera for a while. I think they make great street wheels for SC / Carreras, especially if you have larger brakes. I used a 5mm spacer in the rear to fill out the well. I had -2.5 camber so the top of the tire was in a bit with that much camber.
Here's a pic when the 8s were on the rear.
(btw - I may be selling these 951 8s if you're looking)

The 951 8"s look just like the 911 7's - just with deeper lug insets -

The 911 9"s amd 8"s are almost identical except for the deeper lug insets on the 9's.

The 951 7"s and 911 6" are identical except for deeper lug sets on the 951 7"s

and yes, I would be interested in the 951 8"s if anybody is selling.
