Does anyone sell an axle with new/rebuilt CVs on exhange?
Cleaning and repacking CVs is a NASTY job....I have an extra axle that needs a CV rebuilt/replaced and I flat out don't wanna do it.
Since I have a beefy motor with wimpy 915 CVs....having a spare ready on the shelf is a good idea..... Any vendors that have this? Vertex? |
Hey Mike,
I don't know about an exchange set up, but you can buy a new lobro axle end to end for pretty cheap ($250-300). Might be worth it to just get one like that? |
That's what I would expect to pay for an exchange .....CVs are like 60-80 each.....
I'm not adverse to doing the rebuild....I just hate the job. Like the smell of burnt tranny fluid....it's JUST nasty..... |
I've had good luck with these guys for my Japanese daily driver...and they do Porsche units too.
I like the way they handle the rebuild process, they don't regrind...see their site for details http://raxles.com/ - Wil |
