Fuchs center cap as clock block off?
I don't mind a clock in the car... if it works. I pulled mine out to fix it. While it was out I wondered what might be used as a block off plate. I looked around the garage looking for something about the right size. Hmmm... a center cap looks about right. I put it in the rubber ring and it popped right in.
I'm not going to leave it since it's polished, but if it were black I think I'd keep it there. ![]() ![]()

never thought of that, very cool. I have a plastic disc that came with my GPS unit in the spot, also a perfect fit and black so it matches the dash panel.

does anyone know of a directable and/or closeable vent that would fit the clock hole? my thought is to add a vent from the cowl vent to the clock hole (like the smart racing one). it would be nice to close the vent when it's cold out but i need to know of trim vent from some car that fits.
thanks, matt

Frankly, the more Porschie badges and names I can get off my car the better. It's like Ralph Lauren: went shopping for some long-sleeve winter shirts yesterday and you can barely find anything that doesn't say, in gold-filigree thread, "RALPH LAUREN YACHT CLUB EST. 1967."
Uhhh...no it wasn't. You're not a member and neither am I. Labels should be inside. I know it's a Porsche, I don't need everybody else knowing, and perhaps resenting, it.

I agree with you Steve, but do think a simple black fuchs cap would look good. And it is inside...

Yeah... I think a non-badged black cap would be my choice. I spent some time in Ace Hardware looking for something that would fit and left empty handed.
But, I came home and worked on the clock for a bit and last time I checked it was working. We'll see how long it lasts.
