Reinstalling OEM Blaupunkt in 930

this is puzzle for me. I am reinstalling the OEM blaupunkt in the 930. the following pics are what I have. Am I missing the cage you put in the dash or do the clips pictured which attach to the knob stems on the sides hold it in dash adequately using the bracket in the back?

All the OEM wires were spliced to the wires on aftermarket stereo I am taking out. was there an oem harness to plug and play on the black plug shown or does someone hvae a wiring diagram?

thanks Charles

It looks like you have what you need. The piece on the back of the radio bolts to the dash. You could install the faceplate and knobs before pushing it into the dash, the springy brackets will hold it in and that bracket in the back will support it. The part I'm not familiar with is the small box in the front. Mine didn't have it but I had a buddy with an ROW car that did.

Yes, very puzzling that you would be reinstalling that no-USB-port-having, piece of audio junk!!!

yea it sux but:

1.) I don't listen to the stereo when I drive this car.
2.) I may send it to auction and OEM is preferred.

I have 2 other stereos and one also has the small box and the other doesn't. what I really need is to figure out how to wire the thing.

You might try posting in the 930 forum, there's some folks there knowledgeable about these radios.

I have it licked. I was on e-bay looking at old Blaupunkt parts and stumbled on the seller VINTAGEBLAU. I eventually spoke with Ingo Pragenberg. Ingo walked me thru in detail how to reinstall the unit in my 930. Ingo was great. If you need any parts, looking for an old blaupunkt or want your radio refurbished I would talk to Ingo. His number is 631-697-1611. I have no skin in the game but wanted to pass this information to help some others on the forum..
