I have done a search, but haven’t found an answer, yet. When the temperature is cooler (under 45 degrees), my car develops a stumble. It is almost like a miss-fire, but not quite as severe. It is consistent from idle up thru higher RPMs. It continues to stumble, even after it is warmed up, if the ambient temperature is below about 45. It may even get worse, as the engine warms. For background, I have an ’88 Targa. It is stock, except for a cat-bypass that I installed last March. I just had the engine dropped for a clutch replacement. While it was out (here we go….
) I had the valves adjusted, the sound pad replaced, the CHT sensor replaced with the two-wire, the cam oil lines replaced, and fuel lines replaced, as well as some other things that I can’t remember right now. The car runs great over 45 degrees and never had this issue in the past 3 years that I owned it. Any ideas about where I should start to look? Vacuum lines? Plug wires?

Pull your plugs and see which one looks black.
