Solid Engine Mounts
Anyone try these?
I'm a little curious, partly because I'm wanting to replace mine, and partly because the solid ones look so simple (and subsequently nice 'n easy to fabricate, even in stainless). The engine ones are the same as the transmission, right?? May just try them first, because I'm concerned my car will turn into a vibrating noise capsule- to a greater extent anyway- if I do them all. Who's tried these? ------------------ '72 911 TE |

unless it is a dedicated track car, with no concern for noise, I would just go with the club sport mounts (pelican has them).
I had some solid mounts in a BAJA BUG that I had (many moons ago) It was loud and a gal that I went out with once (only once) hated the noise. (she was FOXY) 20 years later I still wonder what the hell I was thinking putting them on a street car with 85 hp and what might have been....... s |

I just put new Motor / Tranny mounts on, and yes they are the same. I went with the sport type sold by PP, and have noticed a difference from my old. ------------------ '80 911-SC Targa |
