Tail light unit - How do I disconnect wires ?

Hi,
I trying to take out the tail light unit on my 911S from 73. But the wires are all black covered with a thick layer of Dinitrol.
How/ where are the wires connected ? and how and where do I unplug the wires ??

Any help much appreciated - especially pictures showing what I should expect under the Dinitrol. Thanks.

Best regards
Peter

The wire connects with a multi-pin round plug to a receptor in the body.
Look inside the engone compartment and you will see the wiring harness fitted to a round connector in each corner.

Poorsha - thanks. Yes I see the connector inside from engine comp. Is it the same connector type on the outside ?

Peter,
the plug in the engine compartment will put out.
The tail light has a female plug that is press fitted into the body.
