I am sure it wasn't your driving...

Joe Bob 11-25-2006 08:03 PM

Can't be...cause I'm always looking for you in my rear view mirror....

Emission 11-25-2006 08:04 PM

Just wondering... should you replace the other side too (so you have two new sides)? Or, with a driveshaft do you only need to replace the broken one?

ischmitz 11-25-2006 08:06 PM

let's see: snapped 2nd gear in the tranny a couple of month ago - now snapped a rear axle, maybe a sportomatic, hm

Joe Bob 11-25-2006 08:07 PM

OK, yer right....but it's STILL fun.....

ischmitz 11-25-2006 08:08 PM

oh and before I forget what happened to the rear end of the 356. That one also went up in flames after a spirited start :D

Joe Bob 11-25-2006 08:09 PM

Ah blow me...WE WERE BOTH drinking that day.....

Joe Bob 11-28-2006 05:55 PM

Got a complete axle assembly from Eric Scott Shea a poster here and on the 914 club board....excellent service...

Or order shorter ones from McMaster. The new CVs are thinner than OEM.

Ingo,

Any chance you might have photos of these incidents? You know, ones of Mike with something funny sticking out of his nose or the interesting hats that he seems to wear from time to time?

Mike, if I wasnt in Dubai or India this week would come over and lend a hand! :)
