I also did a back date and removed all the blower junk from my engine compartment and it pushes enuff heat to roast me when the two levers are pulled all the way up! I know my 78 ROW doesn't have the footwell blowers!

Yup Danny, it sounds like you've got the Auto heater system. I was thrown off by the fact that the Carrera auto heating system has a 9 position switch while the manual system (like mine) uses a 3 position switch. I guess the SC is different in that regard.

I believe that you might not want to try to move that lever again (I've always wondered why Porsche even bothered to put a lever in there on the automatic system. All it'll do is cause you to pull on it and break something under there, from what I've read).

An additional note...No there are no footwell blowers in SC's unless you install them. They did not appear until the carrera. Also, if the rear blower is dead it will block airflow and reduce the amount of heat into the cabin.

Are you sure about this Randy???? As soon as I read your instructions I ran out to my baby and cranked the second lever all the way to the right. Figuring I would do my part for a more stable middle-east.

Been watching the news but Iran is still there

Am I missing something????

It only fires the missiles; it does assure correct targeting. You need to re-read manual FTM-666-DE, available at a DARPA bookstore near you.

In particular, pay attention to the sections on "GPS based targeting requirements" and "theater anti-missile defenses of former Soviet client states."

Better Luck next time!
