993 decklid on a 1972 911?

Is this possible??? I would like to install one on my car and have a switch for the retractable tail. Any info would be great and where to find the decklid would be good to.
thanks
louis

I'm putting a 964 decklid on a 73 in the next couple of weeks. I think the 993 lid might be the wrong shape, but I'm not sure about that. The hinge position is different (about an inch or so further apart on the newer cars), so I'm going to have to tackle that, somehow, when the thing is finished getting painted.

Post a wanted ad in the '911 parts for sale' section of this BBS. Guys who upgrade to fancier spoilers often have the old decklids to sell. You'll probably see prices (for 964 lids, at least) in the $300-$700 range, including the motor and harware.
