Front T-bar reinforcement bracket source?

I can't re-use the brackets that go on top of the t-bar mounts between the pan and the tank support. Anybody know where to get them?

Rick-
I looked in the PET and I think I found the part number. It is in the SC edition (I don't have it for the Carrera), but it likely did not change for the Carrera. I'll email you the PDF. I searched the part number on Pelican and it showed as a special order item.

Chris,
have you checked with Parts Heaven or SilverStar Recycling?

Good idea tc, I'll call PH tomorrow. Pelican is charging $98 seriously, it's a piece of sheet metal. The sad part is that it probably comes from Restoration Design, where I just got my pan from, and I'll have to wait another month to get the parts again.

No ideas on how to answer your question,

But your avatar is just so distracting I have to keep reading the thread anyway.

Interesting, the part number for my '87 shows up as 901-501-409-23 GRV, which Pelican sells for $98. I wonder how different the older units are?

Kaefer, I have the PET's for just about all years, I can look up yours if you need it. Also, I'm trying to keep a pictorial record of this job to post when I'm done. So far, it hasn't been very bad at all. I was going to try to get away with leaving the A-arms attached, but they prevent a clean cut across the pan where the old one comes out, and welding around them will be difficult.

Steve - you're welcome

Better order the parts from RD now then.

It's a one-man show, and he can be a little forgetful. Be patient, it's worth the wait. His parts are the best. Pelican sez they still can't find a suitable replacement for him.

Stoddard lists one part for both sides 901-501-427-21-grv. The part was very high quality ?oem and cost me $16.30 in may 2005. Hope this helps. Paul.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I found the parts for $10 each at a local place. Let's just say it was "Heaven". Also found some heavenly headers.
